HOUSING in CALIFORNIA

Maximizing our cities will enable AFFORDABLE HOUSING without losing farmland. Building upon existing structures, utilizing existing infrastructure, and employing smart design will protect Californians' properties from climate and natural disasters and make construction cheaper and faster. Single-family dwellings will look different today than those built 70 years ago, as California has become the most populous state.

10+ kWh solar systems on every new roof will completely power California homes, plus EV charging.

Home down-payment assistance for lower- and middle-income Californians and lower interest rates for all Californians will be a high priority for my administration.

HEALTH CARE EQUITY for ALL

California's health/mental health care needs reform. Cutting administrative costs and focusing on public and preventative health will make care accessible, affordable, and EQUITABLE under a unified system.

Working with patients and families in the California medical system for nearly 30 years has helped me plan for a unified, equitable healthcare system for all people living in California.

Healthcare and Mental Healthcare reform are essential amid federal cuts to services.

AFFORDABLE LIVING

California is a global economic power. Over 19 million Californians work. More Californians work in professional services compared to the rest of the U.S. Our workforce, like our population, is aging. Plans to support middle- and lower-wage earners and older workers will be a top priority to offset federal cuts to Social Security and health care. Federal cutbacks to our essential services, such as schools, Social Security, and Medicare, will require California to step up and provide equitable services for Californians.

I believe food equity is a human right in bountiful California. No Californian should experience food insecurity or hunger.

All public school students will be entitled to two NUTRITIOUS meals each school day. School garden harvests can supplement families' groceries.

IMMIGRATION
Migration is a human behavior

Migration is a human behavior. I plan to reform California's international border-crossing and customs immigration policies. NO ICE will be permitted in California using their present illegal practices.

California's $61 billion agriculture industry would not be possible without agricultural workers. Over 75% of farm workers are immigrants. Organized farm-worker coalitions and unions will be protected under California law and invited to meet with lawmakers and leaders to have their issues heard and addressed under my administration.

UNHOUSED or HOMELESS CALIFORNIANS

Being unhoused is a multifaceted issue in California. It can look different for different Californians. We have areas that experience developing or even third-world conditions, such as some farm worker housing and some of our Native Californian reservations. Many Californians live paycheck to paycheck.

The first steps to tackle this multilayered issue under my administration are facilitating mental health and health care for all, funded by an increase in the alcohol tax. Since the 1980s, about 30% of the unhoused population has suffered from mental health issues. This is the fastest first step to help up to 30% of the unhoused. I would facilitate field teams of health & mental health providers visiting homeless camps to provide services to those who would like them.
